The Skill Needed To Start An eLearning Business

If you want to start an eLearning business, you need one skill that you can convert into a product and sell to people.

Now, the people who are already coaches and trainers will say that they already have that one skill that they can monetise but people who are in corporate jobs or entrepreneurs, will say that they do not have any skill that they can monitise.

It is interesting to note that I started public speaking just three years ago and out of that, for 2 years I was just a student of public speaking. I have been in this elearning industry, selling digital products for only a year.

Have you heard of Udemy, one of the best online coaching platforms?

There is a course on Udemy which teaches people how to ride a motorcycle.

Now, most people who are reading this must already know how to ride a motorcycle. But if we have to calculate how much revenue has this course generated till now, just multiply 700 with the number of courses sold, which is 1372. The total revenue is Rs.9,60,000 only via this course.

When you are creating an eLearning product using technology as the background, all you are doing is helping people learn what you have learned in your life, irrespective of what that skill is.

Even if there is a course to make round chapatis, there will be people who would want to learn how to make round chapatis. Imagine a newly married young girl who wants to impress her in-laws and her husband by making round chapatis, she would want to take that course.

The first most important thing for people who are not in training and coaching, if you are thinking that I don’t have that skill, no, you have that skill. The question is do you have that mindset which says, Yes I have that skill. I can sell.

Imagine for a moment, that the system is ready, the platform is ready for you to train people, what is that one thing that you would like to teach people?

Yoga, astrology, music, tabla, accounting, chess, vedas, dance, …..

So what is stopping you from achieving all those things?

How long will you trade your most valuable thing in your life, TIME for MONEY?

Believe that you have the skill and that you will create your dream life.

Now, some of you will say that, Praveen, I have that skill but I don’t think people are interested in learning that skill.

Listen to this example story that I want to share with you. I went to my mother’s hometown and I met with a distant cousin there, whom I had never met before.

The Skill Needed To Start An eLearning Business

He has a double MBA in finance, worked almost for 7-8 years in Pune in a bank, decided to quit his job and started farming. In his family, no one is a farmer. He started the farming business right from scratch. He bought the land, and all the raw material etc and started farming. I asked him where he learned farming, he said from the internet.

The point is people are there who want to learn from you. Now you might think that there is so much free content available, why would someone pay to learn from you.

There is free content available in Public Speaking too but still people are buying from me.

No matter what you are teaching, there will always be a few people who are willing to invest in learning from you.

Understand how the market is changing. Netflix and hotstar are charging so less and yet they are profitable.

VOLUME! Huge Demand!

Hi Praveen , I always thought to do something in the open fusible field of Digital marketing. But I don’t understand from where to start. Even can’t strike out what quality I have . Whenever I heard or read from you I got inspired.

I am poor in English speaking that why I took admission in your Public Speaking Course, but I am still unable to shoot a single video (hesitation to face camera).

But today I decided to stick on the digital marketing. Please guide and looking forward encouraging and motivating topic which help lots of unemployed youth.
